Hormone Testing & Therapy

Panels, symptoms, timing and what your results mean.

Where can I get hormone testing near me in Greater Boston?

The IV Hub Wellness offers hormone panels at all four Massachusetts clinics — Medford, Stoneham, Burlington and Danvers — serving Boston, Somerville, Woburn, Peabody, Salem and the surrounding North Shore. Blood is drawn in clinic and a provider reviews the results with you.

What does a hormone panel actually measure?

A comprehensive panel typically includes total and free testosterone, estradiol, progesterone, DHEA-S, cortisol, LH and FSH, plus thyroid markers such as TSH, free T3 and free T4. Metabolic markers like fasting insulin and A1C are often added because they influence hormone balance.

What symptoms suggest I should test my hormones?

Persistent fatigue, low libido, stubborn weight gain, poor sleep, brain fog, mood swings, hair thinning, irregular cycles, hot flashes or loss of strength and recovery capacity are all common reasons to test.

When in my cycle should hormones be drawn?

For cycling women, day 3 of the cycle is common for FSH, LH and estradiol, while progesterone is usually drawn about seven days after ovulation. Testosterone in men is best drawn in the morning, when levels are highest.

Is bio-identical hormone therapy right for me?

BHRT is considered after testing confirms an imbalance and your provider reviews your history, symptoms and goals. Treatment is individualized and monitored with follow-up labs.

How is low testosterone treated at your clinics?

After morning labs and a clinical review, eligible men start a monitored testosterone program with periodic bloodwork to track response, red blood cell levels and estradiol.

Do you check nutrient deficiencies alongside hormones?

Yes. Low vitamin D, B12, iron, magnesium or zinc can mimic or worsen hormone symptoms, so micronutrient testing is frequently paired with a hormone panel.

How long do hormone lab results take?

Most panels return within 7–10 business days. Your provider then walks you through the results in plain English and builds a plan around them.

IV Therapy & Injections

Drips, NAD+, vitamin shots, safety and frequency.

What is IV hydration therapy?

IV therapy delivers fluids, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants directly into the bloodstream, bypassing digestion so nutrients are immediately available to your cells. Sessions are administered by licensed clinicians.

How long does an IV drip take?

Most hydration and vitamin drips take 30 to 45 minutes. NAD+ infusions run longer — typically 60 to 90 minutes or more depending on the dose — and vitamin injections take only a few minutes.

How much does IV therapy cost?

Individual drips generally range from about $150 to $300 depending on the formula, with vitamin injections starting around $25. NAD+ is priced by dose, and memberships or packages lower the per-visit cost.

How often should I get IV therapy?

For general wellness, once or twice a month is typical. Clients managing high stress, heavy training, frequent travel or documented deficiencies may benefit from weekly or biweekly sessions.

Is IV therapy safe?

Yes. All infusions are prepared and administered by licensed clinicians under the oversight of our medical director using pharmacy-grade ingredients and sterile technique, after a health screening.

What is NAD+ IV therapy used for?

NAD+ supports cellular energy production and is commonly used for mental clarity, fatigue, recovery and healthy-aging goals. Dosing is built up gradually and infused slowly for comfort.

Which drip should I choose?

It depends on your goal — hydration, immunity, hangover recovery, athletic performance, migraine relief, skin brightening or energy. Our team helps you match a formula at your visit.

Can I combine a drip with an injection?

Yes. Many clients add glutathione, B-complex, extra vitamin C or a B12 shot to their infusion in the same visit.

Medical Weight Loss

Programs, labs, metabolic health and what to expect.

What does your medical weight loss program include?

Programs begin with labs and a clinical consultation, then combine a personalized medical plan with nutrition guidance, body composition tracking and regular provider follow-up.

Do I need lab work before starting weight loss treatment?

Yes. Baseline labs — metabolic markers, thyroid, fasting insulin, A1C and often hormones — confirm the plan is safe and reveal the drivers behind stalled weight loss.

How quickly will I see results?

Most clients notice meaningful change over four to twelve weeks. Progress is cumulative and tracked at follow-up visits rather than judged week to week.

Can hormones be the reason I can't lose weight?

Often, yes. Thyroid dysfunction, low testosterone, perimenopausal changes, high cortisol and insulin resistance all make fat loss harder, which is why hormone and metabolic testing come first.

Do you support weight loss with nutrition and supplements?

Yes. Plans include protein and meal structure guidance, targeted supplementation based on your labs, and optional add-ons such as lipotropic injections.

Is the program covered by insurance?

Wellness services are self-pay and not billed to insurance. We accept HSA and FSA cards and offer Cherry financing for larger programs.
